About the event

Strings of Spring is a multicultural music concert organized by Amrithavarshini Music School, Belgium, with the support of the Indian Embassy. The event brings together world-class artists from India and Europe, celebrating the power of stringed instruments to transcend language and cultural boundaries.

Taking place on 31st May 2025 at Nova Machelen, the concert features a diverse lineup — from Carnatic music masters to Western classical quartets and contemporary fusion performers. With artists like P. Ganesh (Chitraveena), Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth (Carnatic Violin), the Iguarán Quartet, and local talents including Belgian guitarist Stijn Denys, the performance blends heritage and innovation on one stage.

With an expected audience of 200–300, this event fosters cultural exchange, community engagement, and artistic excellence. We aim to grow Strings of Spring into an annual fixture on Belgium’s cultural calendar, creating more opportunities for both local Belgian artists and international collaborations.

Amrithavarshini is the brain child of an established Carnatic Vocalist, Trivandrum Dr. Uma Ramakrishnan who has an un paralleled niche in the field of Carnatic music. The mentor has moulded the students and activities of the organisation to an internationally competent level of knowledge and quality.
